Frequently Asked Questions
Is the QA tab always visible on my site?
No. You can specify a host in the administration interface as “private”. If the host is private then the tab is only displayed to browsers that have been previously authorized to view it. Authorization is granted through Tab Accesses which are also setup and managed in the administration interface.
What are Tab Accesses?
Tab Accesses let you control who sees the QA tab that is embedded on your site. When you create a Tab Access in the administration interface, you are given a private URL that can be used to activate the Tab Access. When the Tab Access is activated, a cookie is placed in your browser that QAtab reads to determine if the QA tab should be displayed.
Can a Tab Access be activated multiple times?
Yes, a tab access can be activated an unlimited number of times until the Activation Expiration date. We keep a count of tab access activations so you can see how many times each of your tab accesses is activated. These counts are visible in the Tab Access area of the info page for your host.
How can I tell if a Tab Access is being used?
We keep a count of tab access usages. Each time a tab access is used to show a QA tab, we increment the count. This count is visible in the Tab Access area of the info page for your host.
